This format was created to give kids at the Kindergarten level an easy way to begin to learn the game of lacrosse. The focus will be built around teaching the basic fundamental concepts need to succeed at the higher grade levels and have fun.
7v7 Small Ball
This format is put forth by US Lacrosse which is the governing body of lacrosse in the US. Small ball creates higher IQ by condensing the field. It creates more touches for each player in practices and in games with smaller teams. It creates better stick skills as you are forced to pass in smaller spaces creating a need to react faster. This is how Canadians play the sport mainly through HS! Because of this Canadiens have higher stick skills in general compared to American players.
